Common Conditions Treated:

Fibromyalgia is a widespread pain in the muscles and soft tissues above and below the waist and on both sides of the body. People with fibromyalgia feel pain, tenderness, or both even when there is no injury or inflammation.

Sciatica consists of leg pain, which might feel like a bad cramp, or it can be excruciating, shooting pain that makes standing or sitting nearly impossible. Sciatica might be a symptom of a “pinched nerve” affecting one of more of the lower spinal nerves.

Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is an exercise-based program, designed by a specialized physical therapist, to improve balance and reduce dizziness-related problems.

Medical Massage
The therapeutic practice of manipulating the muscles and limbs to ease tension and reduce pain. It can be effective for reducing pain in the muscles and nervous system, and it is often used to reduce stress.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Our goal during your post-surgical rehabilitation is to return you to your level of physical function. Our therapist provide one-on-one treatment sessions to closely monitor your progress and will advance you according to your response as well as your physician’s recommendations.

Migraines & Headaches
Migraine is centrally-medicated pain disorder. This means that there is a disorder in the central nervous system involving the nerves and blood vessels, which results in the pain and the neurologic symptoms associated with migraine headache. Patients can be taught the best way to utilize modalities such as ice and relaxation. Family members can also be taught massage techniques.

Knee Injuries
Knee pain can be caused by disease or injury. If you already have knee problems, the physical therapist can help with a plan of exercise that will strengthen your knee without increasing the risk of injury or further damage.

Hip Injuries
Physical therapist will evaluate the range of motion of the hip and the surrounding joints, and test the strength of the muscles in the area. The examination will include observing how you move, standing from a sitting position, walking, running, and squatting.

Neck & Back Injuries
There are several type of manipulations and exercises your physical therapist can use to relieve stiffness, strengthen the area, and restore normal function of the neck and back. Treatments such as cold or heat application, deep tissue massage, and many more techniques.

Shoulder Injuries
Physical therapist may preform specialized tests such as raising the arm and asking the patient to resist a force, all at specific angles of elevation. Once the injury is diagnosed, such as a rotator cuff injury, you will work with the physical therapist to decide if you should have surgery or if you can try to manage the recovery without surgery.
